Salvatore's POV
I could no longer hold back and stormed into the room, they both looked at me like I caught them having sex.
"Great, my boy came at the right moment."
I looked at my old school and rolled my eyes before approaching him.
"You can't decide anything for me, I know every fucking way to stop your old ass—"
My voice was sharper than intended but this grandpa of mine still has the audacity to cut me off.
"Shut up and look at her picture."
He took Lucian's iPad and showed me the picture.
I was ready to badmouth small details but then I saw....
Fuck!
How can someone be this beautiful and cute.
Her shining and silky smooth dark brown hair, her Hazel brown eyes, her cute little button nose above those...those kissable pink plum lips.
She looks so beautiful, elegant, pure, innocent, edible and... tasty like a milk pudding.
Yet, something about her felt so comforting and warm that it healed something inside him that he never knew was wounded.
I sank into the couch beside my grandpa and Lucian before giving a mocked death glare to Lucian.
"How dare you hide such a beautiful angel from your don, you asshole."
He dared to chuckle, my old school smirked before speaking:
"You liked her boy? How about meeting her and knowing more about her?"
I nodded as I again looked at her before whispering to myself.
"Is it what we call love at first sight?"
Lucian chuckled while grandpa rolled his eyes then I realised that I have spoken that out loud.
"Yeah, of course. Now stop acting like some lovesick novel protagonist." Grandpa said
they all laughed before they decided to go home as it's very late now.
Author's POV
In the car, Lucian is driving and grandpa is sitting in the back while Salvatore is still in the passenger seat after fighting with his grandfather for the front seat.
The car was moving peacefully through the empty streets then suddenly two vans started following them.
Salvatore looked at them in his side of the side mirror through the corner of his eyes just like Lucian and grandpa.
Without any further hesitation or word, Lucian let the car drive on the before speed while Salvatore loaded his and Lucian's guns before handling him his gun. The grandpa was ready before them.
Salvatore has secretly come to the back seat with grandpa as they will be jumping out of the car from Lucian's side (left)
Now all of them are waiting for one turn and then it happens...
Someone from the van shot the car tire and Lucian screeched the cat to take a sharp turn from in front of a dark alley between two buildings.
They all jumped into the alley, letting the car lose its balance and crashing against a building and then...
Boom!
It blasted and then all three men started firing towards the van.
One van tried to retreat but Salvatore targeted its Fuel tank and then it blasted with the man inside it.
The man from another van started firing towards them but nothing seemed to work in front of those three.
After just a few minutes, all seven men from van 2 laid injured (not dead) on the empty street.
Moretti men have also arrived as Lucian gave them signals, they carried the injured to their vehicles for the interrogation.
Suddenly, someone came out of the dark alley between the two apartment buildings and shot three bullets towards Salvatore in one go but Lucian blocked the way and immediately shot five bullets at once.
Everything happened in just seconds that both Alessandro and Salvatore were in shock before rushing towards Lucian.
His security head, Marcus, took charge of the scene on the street with grandpa, handling the police and burying the matter.
On the other hand, Salvatore rushed Lucian towards the hospital, breaking all the speed limits.
His black buggati is running faster than the wild black panther in the urge to protect something precious to it.
"Lucian! Don't you die before holding your grandchildren! Serena.... Sera would never forgive you... My Lotus would never forgive me..."
"Your... your Lotus is so fragile to even hate someone like you... Who can move continents just... just for her." Lucian whispered in a slowly fading voice
"Shut up and... and don't you dare close your eyes."
After just a few minutes, Salvatore rushed Lucian into the hospital, laying him on the stretcher before the doctors came rushing towards him.
His Personal assistant (James) and secretary (Gigi) immediately came there.
"Immediately inform her and call her here." He shouted the order in the anger.
Not at Gigi
Not at himself
Never st Serena
But at the situation and the people who are behind this.
He immediately dialed a number before going to corner to talk as Gigi went to contact Serena and bring her here as soon as possible.
Meanwhile...
On the call:
[Salvatore: What's the update?]
[Someone: You were right, it was planned to kill you.]
[Salvatore: Anything else?... Alright, keep your ass alert and don't kill them until I come there myself—]
[Someone: wait there's something]
[Salvatore: what is it?]
[Someone: They are the same people behind it.]
His jaw clenched as he hung up the call.
His mind is running wild with thoughts...
Same people.
Same target
One right chance...
That's all he needs to end all this. Just one right chance and he will repay every debt.

He will return everything but right now, all he needs is to calm down, not for himself but for Serena and Lucian.
